Synopsis/Plot:
Twenty years ago, in the eerie Thaenkaadu Forest, a tribe committed mass suicide inside a cave. The reason behind this tragic event remains shrouded in mystery. Fast forward to the present day, and bizarre murders begin plaguing the same forest. Enter Inspector Rishi Nandhan (played by Naveen Chandra), a skeptic crime branch officer assigned to unravel this enigma.
The villagers believe they are haunted by a forest demon named Vanaratchi. Even the local police refuse to investigate, attributing the deaths to supernatural forces. Undeterred, Inspector Rishi arrives with his trusted sub-inspectors, Ayyanar and Chitra. Rishi, who always seeks logical explanations behind superstitions, soon finds himself questioning whether inhuman beings are involved in the murders.
