Synopsis/Plot:
Vasudev (played by Nasser), the chief minister of Telangana state, is a hero turned politician. When he faces corruption charges and goes to jail, his son, Mr. Varun (played by Vijay Deverakonda), becomes the proxy Chief Minister. However, Varun is a novice in politics, and the responsibility of running the state falls on his shoulders. As he grapples with the challenges of governance, he must navigate a complex web of political intrigue, power struggles, and ethical dilemmas. The film explores how Varun evolves from an unaware bachelor to a leader who must make critical decisions for the welfare of the people.
Review:
“Nota” starts with promise, delivering a solid 45 minutes of political drama. However, it later becomes inconsistent, weighed down by clichés, subplots, and an unconvincing storyline. Vijay Deverakonda and Sathyaraj deliver impressive performances, but the supporting cast doesn’t leave a lasting mark. The film’s core strength lies in its portrayal of political scenes, but it occasionally falters due to pacing issues. Despite its flaws, “Nota” offers glimpses of a young leader’s transformation and the challenges he faces as Chief Minister.
