Synopsis/Plot:
Abhishek Tripathi (played by Jitendra Kumar), a city-bred youth, finds himself in a peculiar situation. With no other options available, he reluctantly takes up a job as the secretary of the village Panchayat office in Phulera, a rural village in Uttar Pradesh. His initial plan is to treat this assignment as a stopgap until he cracks his CAT exams and secures admission to an IIM. However, life in Phulera turns out to be anything but ordinary.
As Abhishek navigates his day-to-day existence, he encounters a mix of oddball folks who are now his colleagues. From spending an entire day searching for office keys in the fields (the office also doubles up as his home) to dealing with power tussles over a chair with cushion and wheels, Abhishek’s experiences are both astonishing and humorous. The people of Phulera meticulously plan how to serve ‘petha’ on a plate and earnestly discuss buffalo types when purchasing milk. Meanwhile, Brij Bhushan (Raghubir Yadav) has taken up the role of ‘Panchayat Pradhan,’ even though his wife Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) won the seat in the elections.
